The NQi Cargo XR is an electric cargo scooter created by electric scooter brand NIU from China. The company was founded in 2014 by the former CTO of Baidu (the Chinese Google) and a former employee of Microsoft. The company is listed on NASDAQ and provides exceptionally high-quality and durable products.

The XR (Extended Range) is a special version of the NIU NQi Cargo with two extra large batteries and a more powerful motor.

The scooter has a reinforced tailbox bracket that enables to install many types of cargo and delivery boxes.

The NQi Cargo XR has a 3,000 watt Bosch electric motor. The motor is very powerful and enables to carry heavy cargo.

The scooter provides space for two 35 Ah Lithium batteries made by Panasonic for an effective driving range of 140 km. The batteries are of the same type as the batteries in the Tesla Model S. NIU provides 2 years warranty on the batteries.

A single battery weighs 10 kg and can be easily swapped. By using multiple batteries the scooter can operate 24/7.

Fleet optimization software

The NQi Cargo XR provides internet and GPS connectivity allowing for fleet optimization. Everything from battery monitoring to GPS to ride history, the NIU app keeps the driver and operator informed about the whereabouts and health of their (fleet of) NQi Cargo XR scooter(s). The app provides in an advanced anti-theft system. With GPS it is possible to track the position of the scooter in real time.

De NQi Cargo XR has front and rear disc brakes. The scooter has a Kinetic Energy Recovery System (KERS) or regenerative braking in which energy from braking is returned to the battery.

Low maintenance costs

The NIU app pro-actively monitors the health of the scooter and provides diagnostics to prevent costly maintenance. An electric motor does not require maintenance and when using regenerative braking, even the brakes are saved.

In addition to exhaust fumes, particulate matter from brakes is also a major polluter of air. The NIU NQi Cargo XR can provide less toxic air pollution than other electric scooters by braking with the electric motor.

The NQi Cargo XR can be ordered in any color and with a custom business print.
